The Anishinaabe community of Fort William First Nation has a beautiful arena. Featuring two ice surfaces, a basketball court, and a weight-room, this complex is bustling with activity. From “triple A” hockey to community pick-up games this place offers something for everybody. Providing a safe place for the community to practice healthy lifestyles is the goal. John goes behind the scenes with hometown hero Steve Collins, former Olympic ski-jumper, as well as other contributors to find out that it truly takes a community to make ice.

In the Good Game series, former NHLer John Chabot, a native of Kitigan Zibi reserve in Quebec, travels the country to understand the place that hockey holds in the collective life of Canada’s Indigenous peoples
