Ella and the gang are going camping!  But as they approach their camp site, Maggie alerts them that a giant solar flare is heading their way. They must turn off all their electronics until the storm subsides. Slippy sets up the camp site while Ella tries to find a way out. She realizes that while she can’t rely on technology, science can help them! They assemble a large tent and cover it with a gold sheet that shields them from the charged particles.  They fire up their scooters from inside the tent and fly safely out of the storm.

The year is 3021. The place is the Milky Way, where eight-year-old Ella gleefully heads out with her friends on exciting adventures of discovery. At only eight, she already knows quite a bit about space... but there is always more to explore!
