head resembling a dog, pig, or seahorse. The lake is close to Thunder Child First Nation and the town of Glasnevin. Gordon Sedgewick, a fisheries biologist, has heard some reports of sightings of the lake monster. Eyewitnesses Sheena Hache and Robert Grosse describe what they once saw on the lake.

Winston Walkingbear of the Thunderchild First Nation has heard elders talking about water spirits, beings that travel in the underground waterways of the earth and sometimes rise to the surface. Max Horse, Thunderchild elder and Ira Horse, knowledge keeper explain that water is sacred, and if we take care of it the beings in the water will offer us knowledge.
