Demande de pré-visionnement

Dave Skene grew up a dysfunctional home, spent time living on the streets, and eventually found purpose and meaning by rediscovering his relationship with the land. Now he now shares his journey and inspires the next generation of Indigenous youth to follow a similar path. On donated land he tends a traditional three sisters garden, growing corn, squash and beans. He also grows tobacco, medicine which reminds indigenous people that life is based on reciprocity. Nick makes corn flour using the traditional nixtamalization process, then uses it to make squash and bean tacos. Wisahkotewinowak is a Métis word meaning “the first green shoots that come up from Mother Earth after a fire has come through”.
