Unable to sleep, Beanie witnesses his newsstand buddy Scoop getting kidnapped by two hooded figures. Realizing that he lacks the goldfish’s knowledge about underworld dealings, Beanie is forced to ask for Admiral Bubbles’ help. They soon realize that Scoop has been taken by the Plastogenic Corp, an evil multinational company that wants to stop Scoop from telling everyone about their operations. With Admiral Bubbles providing the plan, Beanie and his pet sneak into the Plastogenics factory at night. There they discover Scoop being held by the new owner of Plastogenics: a 12-year old kid named Timmy, who took over the company from his father and has been manufacturing life-size plastic soldiers to do his bidding. Beanie tries to rescue his friend, but is betrayed by Admiral Bubbles, who wants to become the new owner of Plastogenics. He creates an army of fish-headed plastic soldiers, and a battle ensues between Timmy’s forces and his own, with Beanie and Scoop trying to escape!
