This video was originally created as an election tool for candidates to use door-to-door to educate people about the proposed Free Trade agreement between Canada and the United States. The discussion piece was shown coast-to-coast during the “Free Trade Election” in 1988. It’s of interest to see how the spokespeople at that time speak about the consequences of trading with the U.S. and how much rings true today.
