Hubert Reeves is in front of us, in his garden. From his immediate environment, which he knows by heart, he tells us fabulous stories that allow us to understand the vastness of animal, plant, oceanic and cosmic biodiversity, and especially their interdependence. It also shows us the multitude of actions taken today by people invested with a mission greater than themselves, each in their own way, through artistic, political, scientific or community gestures. He invites us to meet them, first through the film, then to join them through gesture, starting from who we are and the means at our disposal. It invites us to be creative and joyful, and to celebrate life. There is an urgent need to act, we know that, but we know less that actions to change things are within our reach and can make us profoundly happy.

Canadian astrophysicist Hubert Reeves (1932-2023) carried out major scientific work that earned him recognition from the international scientific community. He had acquired an exceptional reputation for his popular books on the formation of the universe and for his immense talent as a popularizer and lecturer. A great humanist, he worked during the last years of his life for the protection of the environment and the conservation of biodiversity.

Film is in French with English subtitles.
