A woman’s passion for birds leads to an appreciation of the natural world that exists in the midst of the concrete jungle. She looks for birds that have collided with high-rise windows, takes the live injured birds to the Toronto Wildlife Centre and donates the dead birds to research. She is captured by a pair of piping plovers nesting on Toronto Island being raised by the male, and is committed to protecting their habitat and bringing awareness to their plight.
