In the vast Saskatchewan prairie, the rustle of native grasses connects us to something greater. Maskikiy Pimohtewin – Medicine Walk in Grasslands takes you to the heart of the grasslands where tradition, culture, and nature converge. Joseph Naytowhow, cultural advisor and member of the Sturgeon Lake First Nation Band, leads a reflective medicine group walk through the native prairie, sharing essential stories, teachings, and a profound respect for the surrounding environment. This film provides a glimpse into the healing potential of reconnecting with the land.

The Backroad Stories series focuses on how individuals and small communities across rural Saskatchewan  interact with the land, preserve traditions, and foster a deep sense of belonging. It explores human connection, culture, and resilience.
